If one word could describe Elizabeth Smith it would be movement. As a dancer for over 20 years, a marathon runner, and a fitness and holistic nutrition expert, Elizabeth is always in motion. She is a passionate advocate for a healthy lifestyle and finds joy in inspiring action in others. As a health and fitness professional Elizabeth’s mission is to help her clients develop a deeper connection to their bodies through personalized training regimens and nutritional counseling. Her clients develop a sense of empowerment that transcends exercise and carries into their personal and work relationships.
Elizabeth’s love for movement began with dance training at the age of five, a focus which continued through study at the University of California at Irvine where she received her BFA in Dance, and onto a professional dance career in New York City. For the last sixteen years, alongside dancing, Elizabeth has trained using Pilates as a way to deepen her understanding of anatomy and kinesiology and to remain in shape for the rigorous demands that dance puts on her body.
Elizabeth’s constant connection between movement and fitness led her to formally study Pilates. She practiced and deepened her skills through thousands of hours of experience and became one of the most sought after instructors in New York City before moving to Los Angeles in 2013. With the desire to work with and help as many people as she can, Elizabeth has completed extensive continuing education courses. They include classes in pre- and post-natal pilates, osteoporosis, scoliosis, muscular and postural imbalances, and more.
